1. What carbon weave options does ORNAN offer?
UD is standard option. Other carbon weave options, such as 3K, 3K Twill, 12K, 12K Twill, marble and other customized finishes, may also be available depending on the product. Please contact us for specific customization requirements.

2. What surface finishes are available for carbon rims and wheelsets?
We offer multiple surface finishes, including matte, glossy and paint-free carbon finishes. Customized gloss levels or special surface treatments can also be discussed for OEM/ODM projects.

Note: Minor visual variations or small surface imperfections may appear on paint-free carbon products because no additional paint layer is used to cover the raw carbon surface.

3. Can I customize the decals and logo on the rims or wheelsets?
Yes. We provide custom decal and logo services for OEM/ODM customers. Logo size, position, color and graphic design can be customized according to your brand requirements.

For specific branding projects, please send us your logo file in vector format if available.

4. Can I customize the rim dimensions?
Yes. We offer carbon rims with different depths, internal widths and external widths for road, gravel, MTB, cyclocross and other applications.

If an existing mold does not meet your requirements, customized rim development can also be discussed depending on the project volume and technical requirements.

5. What spoke-hole options are available?
Common spoke-hole options include 20H, 24H, 28H, 32H and 36H, depending on the rim model and application.

Customized drilling may also be available for specific wheel-building requirements.

6. Can the spoke-hole drilling angle be customized for a specific hub?
Yes. For OEM wheel projects, we can adjust spoke-hole drilling according to hub flange geometry, spoke count and wheel-building requirements.

Correct spoke alignment helps reduce unnecessary side loading between the spoke nipple and rim.

7. What is the difference between symmetric and asymmetric carbon rims?
A symmetric rim has the spoke bed centered on the rim profile.

An asymmetric rim shifts the spoke bed away from the centerline to reduce the difference in spoke bracing angles between the two sides of the wheel. This can help wheel builders achieve a more balanced spoke-tension relationship.

Asymmetric designs are commonly used for MTB and some disc-brake wheel applications.

8. Are ORNAN carbon rims tubeless ready?
Many of our road, gravel and MTB carbon rims are designed for tubeless setups.

Tubeless compatibility depends on the specific rim model. Compatible tubeless tires, rim tape, valves and sealant are required for a complete tubeless system.

Always follow the tire manufacturer's recommendations regarding rim width, tire pressure and hookless compatibility.

9. How do I choose the internal rim width?

It mainly depends on brand position and your usage. Wider internal width comes from wider tyre.

1. How do I choose the correct rim depth for a road wheelset?
Rim depth should be selected according to riding conditions, aerodynamic requirements, rider preference and weight targets.

Shallower rims are generally selected when low weight and handling are priorities, while deeper rims are commonly used when aerodynamic performance is more important.

For OEM wheel projects, we can help recommend rim-depth combinations according to the intended use.

2. What hub options are available for complete wheelsets?
Hub options vary depending on the wheel model and customer requirements. We mainly provide DT Swiss Series and our own hub.

We can provide wheelsets with different hub configurations, axle standards, freehub systems and bearing options.

Please contact us with your preferred hub specification.

3. Can I choose different bearings for the hubs?
Yes. Bearing options depends on the selected hub system.

Standard steel bearings and upgraded bearing options may be available for certain hub models. If you have a specific bearing brand or specification requirement, please provide it when requesting a quotation.

4. What spoke options are available?
We can provide different spoke options depending on wheel type, target weight, stiffness requirements and customer budget.

Common configurations may include steel spoke(Pillar, Sapim, ORNAN are available) and carbon spoke(ORNAN).

For OEM projects, spoke type and lacing configuration can be selected according to the complete wheel specification.
