The lateral stiffness of road or MTB carbon fiber rims was tested on the Universal Testing Machine (UTM), which has a solid base and a clamping device for firmly hold the rim.

Above is a compression fixture to apply an increasing force,and all rim deformation data arerecorded by the sensor above the compression cylinder. The sensor data will be synchronized to the computer, and after the test is completed, the test results will be sorted in the data table.

TEST FACILITY


The vertical stiffness of carbon fiber road or MTB rims tested on the Universal Testing Machine (UTM). The machine has a rigid base with a clamping device to hold the rim firmly. There is a compression fixtureabove the rim to apply an increasing force, and all rim deformation data are automatically recorded by thesensor above the compression cylinder. The sensor data is synchronized to the computer, and the result isdisplayed when the vertical stiffness test is finished.

SPOKE HOLE ULTIMATE STRENGTH TEST


The spoke hole tensile strength is tested on the Universal Testing Machine (UTM). The machine has a rigid base with a clamping device to hold the rim firmly. Above of which is a steel clampthat pulls the spoke upward, gradually increasing in force until the spoke breaks or it pulls through the rim.Pulling force, rim deformation, and the breaking point data are recorded.

SPOKE HOLE ULTIMATE STRENGTH TEST




IMPACT RESISTANCE TEST



TEST FACILITY


Our impact test machine consists of a metric scale on the inner side of one pole to measure the drop height,a striker that can automatically move up and down,and a rigid base to hold the wheel firmly. Between thefront two poles is a spring to keep the test point right under the striker.


TEST CONDITIONS


- The impact mass of the steel anvil weighs at 22.5kg. For XC rim, our required impact height is 400mm(energy 90 Joules) ; For Trail rim, our required impact height is 450mm(energy around 100 Joules); For all mountain, enduro, our required impact height is 550mm (energy 1225 Joules).

- Impact in valve hole, the opposition position of valve hole, and choose any spoke position. After all three impacts, not any cracks in the rim.

- Must get a pass result. Simulates an impact during normal riding conditions.





BRAKE TEMPERATURE AND DISTANCE TEST



BRAKE TEMPERATURE AND DISTANCE TESTTEST FACILITY


This is a multi-functional rim testing machine, including brake temperature testing and fatigueor distance testing. There are clamping devices on both sides of the machine to hold the wheelsets.

Enter the test value to check the wheel set brake temperature and fatigue or distanceor test. And automatically recorded by the sensor.The sensor data has been synchronized to the computer, and the results will be displayed after the test is finished.


TEST CONDITIONS


- Load 100kgf, brake force 15kg, braking for 80S, release for 10S, speed keep in 12.5km/h. Braking test 10 times as one cycles,running two cycles finish the test.Total braking time is 1600 seconds.

- Rims are the same as original and deformation ≤0.3mm.

- After two cycles, rim without damage, and deformation ≤0.3mm


* This is the most important test for rim brake wheels. By this test,you could know well how the wheel is heat-resistant.
