29er Carbon MTB Rims for Trail, All-Mountain, Enduro & Downhill

Different MTB applications place different demands on rim width, weight, impact resistance and wheel stiffness. The ORNAN 29er carbon rim series includes dedicated configurations for Trail, All-Mountain, Enduro and Downhill wheel builds. 

Our carbon MTB rims are used a one-piece layup design to increase fiber continuity and reduce the number of overlapping seams increases the impact strength and helps distribute energy and shock from impacts to the rim. for better dynamic balance.

Orn937-24/Orn938-28 series, It created a 31mm inner width to pair nicely with modern all-mountain tires ranging from 2.3 – 2.6 inches in width. The 31mm inner width assures tires puttheir entire width to the ground and don’t fold over as easily in corners.

Orn937-18-AM/Orn938-28-AM/Orn940-28-AM/EN model carbon 29er rims with asymmetric design.

Asymmetric design helps to equalize the spoke tension between drive side and non-drive side, which makes carbon MTB wheelset stiffer and stabler.

Constructed from Toray T700/T800 carbon fiber, our 29" MTB rim lineup comes in 31/34/37/38/40mm internal widths, covering Trail, All Mountain, Enduro and Downhill disciplines. Custom spoke hole drilling, carbon surface finishes and decals are offered for bicycle brands, wheel builders and OEM & ODM partnerships.

TECHNOLOGY

1. Advantages of Hookless Sidewalls

The bead of the hookless rim is straighter and smoother, and the tire can fully contact the rim wall. Compared with traditional hook rims, it is more durable and impact resistant. Provide more support during sharp turns.

2. One-Piece Layup Technology

We use a one-piece layup design to increase fiber continuity and reduce the number of overlapping seams increases the impact strength and helps distribute energy and shock from impacts to the rim. for better dynamic balance.

3. Ultra Smooth Inner Wall

Use specific, thinner, high-pressure air bladders to control the inner wall smoothness, The result is that we could see a very clean and smooth inner wall, which means the carbon fabrics are stretched smoothly and optimized. This could ensure the best strength of the fabrics.

4. Bead Retention Design 

When the tire is mounted, the raised portion reinforces the tire bead, making it harder to burp into the center channel.

5. Asymmetric Rim Profile Design

This design noticeably equalizes spoke tensions between drive and non-drive sides, This would create a stronger and stiffer wheelset, and with fewer fatigue issues.

6. CNC Angle Drilling Technology

High-speed CNC machine tools drill carbon fiber rim spoke holes. Customized according to the geometric angle of the hub. which allows the nipple to pull straight in line with the spoke for reduced stress. this results in fewer broken spokes and nipples.
